Description:
The North Dakota Navigator Project is available to answer your questions about health insurance, and to help you enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). We employ trained and certified Navigators to help you through the process and to assist you in understanding your health insurance options and benefits. This free and unbiased service is available to all North Dakota citizens. Navigators are available to meet with consumers over the phone, virtually, or in person.
Open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace is November 1st through January 15th. If you miss Open Enrollment, you may be able to enroll during a Special Enrollment Period if you experience certain life events. These may include loss of coverage, a change in residency that affects your health insurance coverage, changes in your household, or major life events. If you qualify for Medicaid or CHIP, you can apply year-round.
