This foundation serves Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota provides client outreach and advocacy services in English and Spanish, counseling and therapeutic services for patients and families and monthly community support groups by trained facilitators. Educational and training programs are offered for those diagnosed, families, the community and professionals who work with those affected by lupus. LFM establishes linkages through organizational outreach and partnerships with other non-profits, the medical community, educational institutions and community organizations with the goal of collaboration, information sharing and the opportunity to raise awareness. The foundation is also dedicated to funding local institutions whose research is geared toward the discovery of effective treatments and for the cure for lupus.
