Fair Housing is a Right that means that all persons have the right to obtain the housing of their choice, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or whether they have children. Signs of housing discrimination include:
*Requiring additional rent deposits from a disbled tenant who needs an assistive animal.
*Pretending a home has already been sold or rented rather than negotiate with home seekers because of their race, religion or nationality.
*Restricting children from a complex or confining them to a specific floor.
*Requiring some race, religions and nationalities to pay for background checks or higher security deposits.
*Treating a tenant differently than other tenants on the basis of the above protected classes.
