The primary mission of the North Dakota Vocational Rehabilitation Division is to assist North Dakotans with disabilities to improve their employment opportunities and to assist North Dakota businesses in finding solutions to their disability-related issues.
Through this "dual client" approach, we assist individuals with permanent injuries, illness, or impairments to achieve competitive employment and increased independence. They also assist business owners and employers through full service business consultation on a variety of business and disability-related areas.
We also provide rural services to eligible farmer and rachers who are experiencing difficulties doing their job due to permanent injury, illness, or impairment.

A Vision Rehabilitation Specialist may be able to teach new ways to perform such tasks as reading, mobility, homemaking, etc. An individual may also qualify for talking books, radio reading services, telephone directory assistance exemption, and support group meetings in the community.
Low Vision support groups are now being held in Dickinson on the last Wednesday of the month at 12:30 pm at Evergreen, 2143 6th Ave West and in Hettinger on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center, 204 4th St South.
