Enforces the Age Discrimination in Employment Act which prohibits age discrimination against workers or applicants 40 years of age or older. Conducts investigations of alleged discrimination, makes determinations based on gathered evidence, attempts reconciliation when discrimination has taken place, and files lawsuits.
