North Dakota Adults and Aging Services is a section of the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. Adults and Aging Services will actively advocate for individual life choices and develop quality services in response to the needs of vulnerable adults, persons with physical disabilities, and an aging society in North Dakota.
Adults and Aging Services is responsible for the administration of programs and services for older individuals and persons with physical disabilities. The purpose of the state and federally funded programs is to enhance the ability of an individual to maintain independence in his or her own home and community.
Services include: Long-Term Care Ombudsman, Vulnerable Adult Protective Services, Legal Services, Older Americans Act Services, Family Caregiver Support Program, Home and Community Based Services, and Information & Assistance.
