County election officials, who are primarily County Auditors, are responsible to the Secretary of State for administering state election laws, rules, and regulations.

The Benson County Auditor's duties include: Chief Financial Officer for the county, Election Administration, Executive Secretary for the County Commission, Taxes and Budgeting, Beer and Liquor Licenses, Bingo and Raffle Permits, Hunting and Fishing License Sales, Public Records such as copies of official county newspaper.
There are no fees for the auditor/treasurer services, however there is a document and copy fee.
