FirstLink is a free, confidential service available to anyone for listening and support, referrals to resources/help, and crisis intervention. FirstLink answers the 211 helplines, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and communicates via the text line 898-211. FirstLink provides these services across the entire state of North Dakota and parts of Minnesota.
Dial 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898-211 from anywhere in our service area for confidential help and support. FirstLink has a Care and Support Program that makes outgoing calls to those with thoughts of suicide or addiction challenges. They provide education to community members on suicide prevention and behavioral health. They are teamed up with Human Service Centers to deploy mobile crisis services as needed. FirstLink has a community directory to link people to services throughout North Dakota. Simply dial 211 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255 to reach FirstLink.
