Faith in Action is a new program available through the Carrington Health Center. Faith in Action connects volunteers with care receivers, coordinates rides, offers emotional and spiritual support, develops relationships, and provides light housekeeping and meal preparation. All activities are done without cost to either the volunteers or care receivers.
The Carrington community is blessed with many services to help our elderly and members with disabilities - an excellent senior citizen center, a superb public health system, parish nursing, and social services. Faith in Action fills the gaps amongst all the existing agencies in our community. There are some who are overburdened with the details of their own lives while still trying to provide care and support for others’ lives. Faith in Action volunteers can help alleviate burdens for care receivers and their families.
