Description:
The North Dakota School for the Deaf/Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing serves the educational needs of hearing impaired students ages 0-21. Children birth to 3 years of age fall in the Parent/Infant program and the children ages 3-21 years are served through the school program. Serves as a resource center on deafness, serving the needs of hearing impaired citizens statewide. The North Dakota School for the Deaf works collaboratively with agencies to ensure that individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in North Dakota have full and equal access to services. Adult Services provides a statewide comprehensive continuum of non-duplicative services for all North Dakota citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing regardless of age or cause of hearing loss. This includes services to senior citizens who are experiencing hearing loss due to the normal aging process, as well as to those who lost their hearing at birth, earlier in life, or due to illness or accident.
