Description:
A non-profit legal advocacy agency funded by a grant from the federal Administration on Aging that assists individuals, including seniors, retirees, and their beneficiaries, with pension-related issues. Provides direct advocacy on behalf of individual and assists with locating and obtaining pension and other retirement benefits individuals have earned through their years of hard work. Assist clients in filing formal Claims and Appeals for pension benefits; correcting pension miscalculations, overpayments and recoupment actions, obtaining and explaining couples pension plan documents, answering general questions about pension laws, and tracking down pension benefits from past employers. Services are provided free of charge.
