The Alzheimer’s Association and the State of North Dakota have partnered since 2010 by providing the Dementia Care Services Program to people living with dementia, their caregivers, and professionals. Services are performed by the staff of the Alzheimer’s Association and funding is granted through the North Dakota Department of Human Services, Aging Services Division. The Dementia Care Services Program provides care consultation and education services for families and professional caregivers. The program addresses caregivers’ unique and individual needs that arise throughout the various stages of dementia and delivers dementia education to medical professionals, law enforcement, caregivers and the general public. Care Consultants bring the services into homes and communities across North Dakota.
