LSND provides civil legal assistance to the elderly and poor throughout North Dakota. LSND acts as an advocate for socially and economically disadvantaged elderly who have problems in areas critical to life sustaining needs, and also provides advice, community legal education and training. Policy advocacy is conducted as allowed by law.
LSND has offices in Minot, Grand Forks, Fargo, Belcourt, New Town, and Bismarck. Calls for ages 60+ should be directed to 866-621-9886. Calls from under age 60 should be directed to 1-800-634-5263.
Specific legal problems for elderly law case work are: Income, Health Care, Long Term Care, Nutrition, Housing, Utilities, Protective Services, Defense of Guardianship, Abuse, Neglect, and Age Discrimination.
