The buildings at Evergreens are on one level, no stairs or elevators. There are only 15 apartments per building.
Evergreens of Moorhead offers 3 specifically designed programs to accommodate the needs or residents.
The Regular Unit provides for those residents who are able to function with greater independence, regarding ambulation, physical needs, medical management, etc.
Some residents may need more assistance with transferring and ambulating, and would benefit greatly from receiving the extra staff assistance, that is provided in the Enhanced Care Unit.
Memory loss that can develop from strokes or Alzheimer's disease, may reduce a resident's abilities with day to day functions. The Memory Care Unit is specifically designed to provide an environment which will encourage and emphasize a resident to be successful in their sensory, physical and mental abilities. Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible, but there are services and specially trained staff available to assist them as their needs increase.
The facility in Fargo, ND is licensed for Basic Care and the facility in Moorhead, MN is licensed for Assisted Living.
